Animals in Democracy
Animals in Democracy is an international network working on strengthening the institutional representation of animals, acting as a bridge between academics, NGOs and politics. As animals are inevitably affected by politics, they need appropriate representation in political institutions. Animals in Democracy envisions a world in which the interests of animals are represented in parliaments and ministries. The Alliance supports the work of Animals in Democracy, which aligns with a number of our institutional reform goals under the #FairGoForAnimals reform framework.

Open Wing Alliance
Initiated by The Humane League, the Open Wing Alliance (OWA) brings almost 100 member organisations across 75 countries together to create a unified front in the campaign to end the abuse of chickens worldwide. The OWA has grown into a global force, with member organisations changing the way the world’s biggest companies treat animals and setting a new standard for corporate animal welfare policies locally—in every major market—and globally. The Alliance has joined the OWA to collaborate on campaigning to bring the Better Chicken Commitment to the over 700 million chickens raised and slaughtered for meat in Australia each year.
